Company Care provides comprehensive case management services to coordinate, monitor and evaluate the medical care of injured employees. Our staff members communicate to employers and/or workers' compensation insurers to confirm the medical plan of treatment is being adhered to for an "aggressive," "light duty" or "return-to-work" status.

A treatment plan will be tailored to the injured employee's specific care needs and will include:

  • Medical follow-up and management of ongoing injury or illness
  • Advanced diagnostic testing
  • Intensive physical rehabilitation by certified physical and occupational therapists
  • Return-to-work and fitness-for-duty evaluations

When to go to Company Care instead of the emergency room

Our occupational health team at Company Care is able to treat many of the injuries and conditions a worker may experience, but, in times of medical emergencies, she or he should go directly to the ER. When in doubt, go to the ER.

Although it isn't always easy to know where to go for care, having the answer could save someone's life when it’s a medical emergency. When treatment is needed right away, Raulerson Hospital's 24-hour emergency facility offers the highest-quality care.

Company Care provides elite care and compassionate treatment of less urgent and non-urgent occupational-related medical conditions.

Less urgent medical conditions are conditions which would benefit from intervention within one to two hours. Some of these conditions include:

  • Minor back pain
  • Possible extremity fracture
  • Swollen, hot joint
  • Small area of reddened, warm skin
  • Eye injuries without vision changes
  • Small burns to one area of body

Non-urgent medical conditions are acute and/or chronic conditions for which intervention may be delayed without risk of deterioration. Some of these conditions include:

  • Minor bites
  • Puncture wounds
  • Foreign body to the skin
  • Scratches
  • Minor rash
  • Minor lacerations, abrasions or contusions
  • Minor burns
