Our facility is a 100-bed, acute care hospital and for the past 40 years, Raulerson Hospital has been providing our community quality healthcare with a personal touch. Patients and families often tell me that the staff, physicians and volunteers at Raulerson Hospital make a tremendous impact on their experience at our facility. We’re here for you.

Did you know you have a Top Performing Hospital, right in your backyard? Raulerson Hospital was recognized as a ‘Top Performer’ by the Joint Commission on Key Quality Measures for five years in a row! We are 1 of only 117 hospitals, nationwide, to achieve this recognition. We are proud to earn the distinction of being recognized as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for attaining and sustaining excellence in accountability measure performance. Raulerson Hospital was recognized for its achievement on the following measure sets:

  • Heart Attack
  • Heart Failure
  • Immunization
  • Pneumonia
  • Surgical Care
  • Venous Thromboembolism (VTE)

Raulerson Hospital is licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) as a Primary Stroke Center. We are proud to have earned the 2019 Healthgrades 5 Star Treatment Awards for the following conditions: Respiratory Failure, Hip Fracture and Heart Attack. In addition to these awards, we have also received Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award. Our Critical Care, or ICU, was recognized in 2019 as an Honoree in HCA Healthcare's Unit of Distinction Awards for being among the top 10 percent of all HCA Healthcare Critical Care Nursing Units in its achievement of measurable, exemplary performance in the areas of advocacy, leadership, and consistency in nursing practice and operations. In a similar example of our excellence in nursing, our Surgical Services Department has achieved the CNOR strong status for the percentage of staff who have completed their voluntary Certifed Nurse Operating Room certification in the specialized field of perioperative (or surgical) nursing. This certification is the standard by which the public recognize quality nursing care.

Raulerson Hospital is an integral part of the community. We not only participate in community traditions and events, we also provide educational and informational services for the community to learn about healthcare and the latest medical technologies. As always, I welcome and encourage patients and their loved ones to share feedback and suggestions with members of the patient’s healthcare team or myself.
